This elegant teapot (Kyusu) is handmade by a renowned Tokoname-yaki potter Hirotaka Umehara, an accredited Master of Traditional Arts (Dento Kogeishi) by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Type: Tokoname-yaki (Tokoname ware): Tokoname-yaki is a type of pottery produced in the area around Tokoname city in Aichi Prefecture, one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan. The history of Tokoname ware dates back to the 12th century.
